A wonderful edition. But be careful with the bandit lords. These pricks can ruin a whole army by their sheer number if youre not careful. You can take them on but you need to lure part of it away from the main pack. Then attack the lord when the numbers are less insane.
Sincerely... I really love Cadmus... It's great.
But does it have the same features of Evolved?, or what is missing from evolved?
Evolved is like... a tad bit more nice looking. But really... dosent change all that much from Floris when it comes to gameplay. Cadmus has tweaks that quite dramatically changes the combat in some situation. Personally I think it is for the better.
About the dieing thing. I hate it because it removes the game's biggest consequence for dieing. If you die, you ain't there to assist them. That aspect of the game was annoying to some but it encourages playing smart and actually behave like a leader.
So, I dont realy like most of mods. A game was made by a team with a vision, strategie, total balance view. Moders just throw inside rounded game some traingles what mostly makes the whole game broken.
That's just not true.
Especially if you look at the bigger total conversions. The mods that are designed from scratch with new stats in mind. Modders aren't just thrown down numbers assuming it'll work right, these things are playtested, and a whole lot more than the original M&B ever was back in the day.
The great thing about M&B and it's mods are the mods are often an extension of that same vision the dev had for M&B. Pretty much every mod makes gracious use of the different possibilities and mechanics M&B haas to offer, you'll find few popular mods that have stripped anything away, or are highly unbalanced.
I'm having a lot of crashes with Cadmus, a lot of "out of memory" crashes related to textures... I wasn't having this with evolved.
Well, too bad.
I downloaded it from the nexus but i started having this issues so i just continued with floris evolved and have been playing a few hours now and 0 crashes on that mod, but Cadmus was just unplayable after a while.
