How many companions to have with trainer?
I kinda make everyone have it, have a companion with tactics? Slap some trainer in there to, doctor with surgery? Slap some good ol trainer.

I want to try and make a few of my companions godly soldiers, but how much trainer do I truly need, so I can train troops very quickly?(highest I've gotten is being able to train up to veteran in a day for any troop except nords, but I'm not sure how much that took.)

Basically, everyone has a job for party skills, and if they have an extra point, I slap it into trainer, but I'm curious if I should put it into some combat?

In most mods, all of my Intelligence based companions have training 10. It is rare that I give training to combat companions, I only do it in mods where skill points are plentiful, like Perisno and Viking Conquest.

Of course, there are mods and home rules that make training less important, like for example, playing for the Light and using elves in The Last Days, or making a speed run in Native, or using just companions in Gekokujo, Perisno, Phantasy, etc.

But in general, if you have an Intelligence based specialist, and I in most mods I have at least three, it's worth having his training maxed.

I have a general rule of thumb that by level 10, a companion should have a point in training, then I pop another point in every 5 levels, until they are at max limit. The combat companions, who tend to be highest level, help you get those top tier troops.

I try to have all companions have at least 1 point in Trainer. That way, I'm at least assured of getting any raw recruits to second tier on one night, hopefully some to third by the next night. I don't like having useless recruits.

I don't recall if I've ever "maxxed" Trainer with any companion in any mod. That would certainly be very helpful, especially in mods with high troop-levels. That's just a ton of points to dedicate to Trainer. (I am stacking it a bit for a medic in PoP that already has 10 in all medic-related skills, so we'll see.)
