Thanks you for helping me.
In Viking Conquest you can loot and burn at any time. In fact I have two factions very mad at me and I belong to no faction. But, Mide and Frese always want a fight when we meet because a I burnt down a few of their villages and killed all the peasants and took all the goodies. :) I robbed a few of their caravans as well, but, only took toll money and didn't take their goods I'm such a nice guy that way. haha
Looting and pillaging and getting a couple of factions mad at you is a great way to build up armies and income without having to join a faction. I've yet to see an army I couldn't beat with my 250 solders and only loose a handful of Saxon Knights (cavalry) in the process. I have 90 nobles and 40 Saxon Warriors. :) around 50 total cavalry (some Saxon some Franks) and a quantity of spearmen ready to upgrade any losses of warriors or Saxon Knights. It's been quite fun slaughering everything that moves in large quanties. :)) I always make believe Trudigy is leading the opposing army and when I capture the Noble he represents I thow him in the dungeon and keep him there till they offer 10's of thousands of gold or he escapes.
The best thing about it is that I don't have to suffer that dam "tax inefficency" penalty every GD week. That's the stupidiest feature in the game. Let me have my money I earned it and worked for it why take over half of it away every time I get a new settlement after a couple I get for free?
I've found that if I just get a Lord to like me long enough to build a business in his town I don't have to suffer the penalty and I don't get "sequestered" because I'm never really at war. So, I have businesses all over and the Lords can't do nothing about it. hahah
I have over a million in gold now and make thousands per week looting and burning and attacking nobles from Mide and Friese. Who cares about reputation. I'm gonna be a tyrant and take everything from anyone I want. :)) That is that drops off the battles i have and the looting and pillaging I do to them. :))
