If you have great renown and the Pagans love you, they will come to your party in a steady trickle... but they are poison to any disciplined army, and way more dangerous to your men than to enemy... unless you just throw them at the enemy at the very beginning of the battle, not caring whether they live or die.
I never knew Beserkers teamkilled, since I haven't really recruited them in Viking Conquest.
They start assigned to one of the ranged divisions, archers or skirmishers, I am not sure which. So unless you reassign them, they go bugfиск in the middle of friendlies who are poorly armored and weak in melee, and who cannot fight back.
When it happened to me, I had to ride there, dismount, and shoot the fискers in the back. In that battle, the enemies killed fewer people than the two berserkers which were supposedly on my team. To add insult to injury, they both survived the arrows to the kidney...
the first time it happened to me they killed me to
i'm really not sure what you can do with them.i have put them in custom group and put them way in front/flank,but even there they will still just kill each other
perhaps they are added for the pleasure of the charge! junkies?
if you are pagan, and have not negative relations, you can recruit them from the hofs 1-3 a time
christains can get stuffed, but you will still get that trickle Tuidgy talks about if the pagans don't have negative relations with you
though that may not be true since ver 2.025 i can't actually remember getting any since
The armor itself comes in two flavors, and is by far the best light armor, and is comparable to the best medium armor. My best character wears in 90% of the time, i.e. all the time except in sieges, and at the end of large battles. Remember, you can switch armor during battle, and no matter how good the pelt is, in a shield wall melee you want metal armor.
As I saw Tuidgy say not to long ago , you could actually field a whole army of T5 troops once powerful, but that is not much fun, and a waste of resources
somewhere between 50-100 T5 troops is enough for any army, the rest can train
Oh, and with berserkers, you can kill them yourself if they go feral
