I am running into issues with deplomacy dialog
ok so everytime i get into a mod and take over a castle (for testing purposes so cheats are enabled) i hire a chancellor and when i talk to him when i say lets talk about our domestic policy the change culture dialog option is not there. what can i do to fix this, if i even can fix this. (Keep in mind i have reinstalled the mods and the same thing happens, the mods i have tried are the following. Floris Expanded, Gekokujo.)

Hire a better minister. In most mods, your wife is the best choice, and most companions will do.

Also, many mods have a cool down period after you change culture, economic policy, etc. Thus if you make significant changes you have to wait for a while. Other mods control recruit culture at the fief level, and you migrate fiefs from the "Manage fief" dialogue in the fief menu.

Remember, mods that include Diplomacy do not have its latest version, but whatever the author has included. Some modders update their Diplomacy variant religiously, others, not so much.

the ones i use use the latest 4.3 version (they are Floris expanded 2.4, and gekokujo and A New Dawn), but you do have alot of of points i have not checked yet. Question, is there still a cool down if you have not yet changed culture? and are there any requierments for it? and does the better of a minister determine if you get better chancellors? and is there an amount of lords you have to have first?

Are you your own kingdom or are you a vassal? I could be wrong, but i think you can only change your culture when you're a seperate kingdom. Or maybe try taking over a town instead of a castle, maybe that's the problem here.

I assumed that he was a sovereign, as he is getting a chancellor with an option to change culture. I know that in at least one mod, you are forced to set up the national policies when you form a kingdom, and there is cool down period even if you accept the neutral default.

That makes sense, and yes I was king in all of times I tried.

Btw do you know how long the cool down period is?

Also after I became king ( I was using cheats for testing this as well) it seems when I would make my companions vassels they would completely dissapear. ( And yes I checked all of the castle Garrison's for them, and I was using the same mods as I mentioned above.)

If you use cheats, weird stuff happens. If you're after knowledge that will help you play a legit game better, your best bet is to ask questions, not to use cheats.

True, I don't usually use cheats. I am modding a mod that uses deplomacy and I needed cheats to test if everything was working right. And I personally think more games should make cheats glitch out there games if they even have any, it would be a good lesson to anyone who relies to much on cheats to win the game for them.
