Killing the King (Viking Conquest)
Hello I have an issue. Jarl Hrodulf Haraldsson told me to assassinate the king. However, it seems I don´t have a possibility to do so. I can only help the village of Doccinga defend againts Sven. But if I do that the Jarl gets mad at me. When I ask the king about his feasts he says that I´m not of a sufficient rank to participate at his feasts. Then I ask what I should do to participate at his feasts and he sends me to Doccinga. But - as I said before - if I help Doccinga Jarl gets mad. It seems like some sort of circle and there´s only one way out of it. So... does someone know how to kill the king? Thanks for answers!

Save the Village killing the King I think is impossible

That is really confusing. I read some forum discussions and someone said that it is possible to kill the king (didn´t say how however...) and someone said that it isn´t possible. Also, it´s weird that you recieve quest that you can´t finish. I am truly disappointed...

Part of the Story and I've never gotten to kill him I've always just saved the Village

Its less of an actual objective and more of just a plot hook.

So... if I can´t kill the king, can I (in future) have good relations with Jarl Hrodulf Haraldsson and actual Friese?

As the storymod eventually ends and game turn to it´s sandbox standard, you can have any relation with anyone in the future.

One last question (not relating to this thread) ... how long does it take to complete the main storyline? I got through the Assembly and now I am with the fleet invading England.

Its hard tot ell exactly without spoilers.. but from pure story let say you are some way behind half at crucial decision point that split the story to 2 major ways.. And youa re expected be able capture and defend castle with your army and participate in larger scale battles..

You're about half way through. A couple more missions and then you make a choice of siding with West seaxe or the Vikings. After that you got a few more missions then it's over.

But then it goes into sandbox and you can just get started on world domination. After the story I went back to friese as an invader, wiped them out, then started my conquering of the world under my own kingdom .
