nope, they don't do to much(nord, dane, etc) on thier own,but as a king that should be no problem, and even a clever player lord should be able to move them on to the mainland
also,if your the one being attacked you might think that they do plenty really
the briton lords probably just joined the northymbre after you noticed them,or are you saying they still use the briton titles?that would be some kind of bug methinks
Indeed, you'd have to be king. Honestly I think playing with Northhymbre is gonna be a smoother ride. What I meant is that Northymbre has Earldorman Egbert among other Earldormen(?). Just wondered why they are still in Northhymbria. Cause I thought historically the Northumbrians were rather opposed to the Norsemen and there wouldn't be many Earls betraying their country to join them. But then again, perhaps some did.
It was mainly from a historical standpoint or whatever. Wondered about the background behind them being loyal to the Northmen ruling Northhymbre. Naturally there isn't any because this is a sandbox game afterall :)
as far as i'm aware all the anglo-saxe and nords use the Elderman term for any lord in posesstion of a town, which probably just fits with them using scandinavian/german corrupted words rather than celt
(maybe the nords don't,i've never seen one with a town)
Also to mention the viking sea raiders, that are a very strong Spearinfrantry. But not easy to recruit them masswise.
This might explain why there are "local" lords in the Northhymbrian faction...
However Friese after 600 days still didn't have any new land (I took them over and wiped out Friese but then they came back later through a rebellion and took a big chunk of northmbyre land, which gave me an opportunity to take a bunch of land on the isles).
Ah okay, thanks. Makes sense then. Didn't expect to see them defect IRL, but I guess they'd do anything to keep their status
