Installing it is as simple as installing anything else. I suggest adding the version number to the name of the installation directory. Likewise I recommend renaming all of the modules to include the version number that will be using them. Renaming the modules is to prevent saves made in one version from showing up in all versions. Unless you're running the same modules across multiple versions of Warband it's only an issue for Native. When it asks for your CD key, if it asks for your CD key rather than reading it from the registry, you go to your Steam Library entry for Warband and copy your CD key. After that just launch the version that you want to run. You can have as many versions as you want installed without uninstalling any or having any conflicts.
My point is, try it out first, perhaps you won't even need to have another, older version installed.
Not saying you are wrong (you may already have tried, or they may have said that's exactly what you need), but in my experience even older mods for older versions often just work.
Which folder is it I should be putting version 1.158 into once I have it downloaded? Cheers for the info
Yeah I get what you're saying, but it definitely needs it. I've tried it already and it comes up with an error message. Many other people have had the same problem if you check the comments on the website that the mod is on.
