You can track bandits to find their hideouts. If your tracking isn`t upgraded, check their usual patrol routes, then look around that area and try circling near the unknown small party tracks.
Either that or aimlessly wonder around till you run into it, the size of the map is only so limited...
If you can`t be bothered by that, you can find the locations of hideouts online. It`s slightly different for everyone but they`re always in the same regions and once you`re near the region shown on screenshots taken by other people , wonder around in that area, you`ll run into it fast.
By this point, I pretty much know the first couple of camp locations for every type of bandit.
That's why when I see a thread asking about bandit camps, I ask. After giving the information, the OP disappears and the thread goes silent.
If you don't know where they are, you can do it the hard way. Watch bandit groups and note their status. It will tell you they are "Patrolling around bandit camp", for example. Bandits congregate around camps so there will always be plenty of activity when you get close.
If you don't see more and more bandits as you head up there, then you'll know that the internet has let you down again.
You can follow them at long range without them noticing you if you have decent spotting .
