Huge FPS drops in battle.
In M&B i almost never experienced low fps (like very low), even back when my rig was below avarage. I recently got back to it and wow my frames get decimated. The battle starts and everything is smooth up until actual fighting begins. Like when it's 2 meters from enemies (weather it's me or my soldiers), everthing goes insane; i get literally 1 fps.

On the campaign map i get freezes (leaving towns), i had them back in the day too, but now they seem bigger, longer.

Any help?

What is your Display card and Ram size ??
Use lower setting.
Quit the game and restart all over again may also help.
When you have played for sometime you need to restart the game again to get back the frame rate. :steamsad::steamsad::steamsad:

I have gtx970, i5 and 16gb ram. But honsetly, i have a very strong feeling that if i were to just pull off my videocard out of my PC and run M&B, this is the kind of result i will get, like if the game completely ignores my gtx970.
Apologies, i'm afraid i forgot to mention that i get this in a modded game, Brytenwalda to be precise. Unmodded everything is fine.

Sometimes antivirus can just wreck your system.

Checking your drivers and making sure you have nothing in the background affecting fps is a very common thing to ask but hey maybe it's one of those.

I was going to say battle size but if it's minimal and you get that bad fps.. that isn't the case.
