Any way to edit character or get stats back?

typical noob story: made a char and now i regret putting all those points in throwing. dont feel like starting over but want to change it, even if it means "cheating"...but how do i do it?

Lower left of character screen opens up a menu where you can export your character file, find it under my documents > mount and blade warband > characters, edit it, go in-game and import it

Weapon proficiency points aren't worth much at all. You gain way more weapon proficiency by just using the weapon.
