Dungeons Beta Question

I've been holding off starting a new game until the dungeons feature releases, which is a feature I've been quite excited about. I know that the option to play it on beta is available, and that the creator said that they'll do their best to make sure that the feature will be compatible with new saves, but if I start playing it on the beta now will my save then be playable once it's released?
