Yeah. After finding this game after playing world of warcraft, the worlds I made in the game felt empty. Then I played original Everquest and was like "ah, that's what this is based on" lmao. It's a real shame we're not going to get more, but dev's probably run out of money and got life priorities. Maybe someone else will pick it up from him eventually.
I also recommend you guys take a look at a game called "MMORPG DEV TYCOON", it's a game of the same genre of mmorpgtycoon 2, but it has plans to be much deeper and with much more customization options. It is in very early stages of development and gonna take a while to be launch, but it's worth to take a look and the dev posts devlogs weekly for patreons. https://youtu.be/WQthIGwmIfc
I can't say I'm keen on that aesthetic but hey, if it moves more than this game, it's fine with me
Yeaah, it's nice there's someone making a hefty amount of matching assets in a consistent cartoony style for folks like them to use, but man I wish it wasn't so blocky.
Though I do hope the fellow can find someone to help directly with making models, otherwise they'll be limited to just what ever is available.
I mean basic manners is, don’t use one game’s platform to promote a competitor’s game? I think that is true for every game forum out there.
As for it being dead, that doesnt seem to be the case.
This needs to garner a response.

If link doesnt work you can join via their website.

You can also see the roadmap for the game there and the game isn't even halfway through the roadmap after years.
The discord will probably answer more questions than any random dude on the steam discussions could.
MMORPG Tycoon 2's development isn't dying. Trevor(the lead dev) has been picking up new team members and dungeons is coming this summer. MMO RPG DEV Tycoon hasn't even been in development for a year. It's trailer is not real footage, just manufactured because it's dev wanted to generate early hype for it.
Trevor has been working on this game for several years. During that time he's made all sorts of optimizations to make simulating an MMO with thousands of players possible, a massive hurdle I don't think MRDT's dev has taken into consideration. Development has been very slow but I still have faith in this game, though I do think Trevor needs to reconsider what features should be introduced first... and a lot of things should've came first before dungeons.
They said the first half of 2023...
It's on the pinned post of the main page of this forum...

I stand corrected. Thank You FRH_HerrGeneral for clearing that up for me.
I'll delete my original post since it is incorrect.
My apologies Dev.
