ability to add more charcters?

i know this is a demo, and its really cute and fun to use the character creator! i did have one question: will there be an ability to create more characters in future updates? i can't create more than four and i would love to make more of them! if there is the risk of performance issues with too many characters, there could be a limit of how many can go on screen?
