Desperate - Slow motion help
I've been trying to fix the slow motion bug but am about to give up on the PC version of NIOH. I'm running with a GTX 1070 and all my specs are up to snuff to play it on high settings, but I'm having trouble with getting rid of the slow motion even on low settings and no shadows enabled.

I've google'd and set up my Nvidia graphics settings accordingly, I'm running it on High Performance, and I've had some success with increasing my framerate but so far the slow motion bug remains in certain (numerous) areas. I also read that un-plugging your controller can fix something to do with what GPU it's loading, and doing that seems to once again help my framerate but not really fix the slow motion. I've tried pretty much every solution I can find, and I've read complaints that it's a bad port, and I played it originally on PS4 where this slow-motion wasn't ever a problem.

Any suggestions that can help? It gets so bad that it's literally un-playable where it goes into this smooth framerate slow-motion and my controller input starts having trouble as well, so I'm fighting the broken-ness of the game more than the actual enemies.

Thanks, that's the same guide I followed. Sad to hear but it seems pretty much un-playable on PC to me :(

I'm on PC and I've never had any problems at all.

I assume you have an AMD card then.

I'm using a gtx 1060 and haven't had any issues. Also played with a gtx 680. The game absolutely runs fine on nvidia cards. It could be any number of of things on your end that is causing the slowdown. If you go on youtube there's plenty of example videos of the game running on a 1070.

Have you made sure the game isn't running on your integrated gpu if you have one?

An intel card won't be able to run the game smoothly that i am sure of, i can relate to OP's issue, cause i have them at least 5 times during hours of gameplay, not overheating issues or anything common to cause that, it is just like if the game won't handle fast actions done in short time, i can get them specifically spamming few attack skills especially flowing shadow.

That's one of the things I read somewhere, that the game can be using the integrated GPU and not my video card. I tried following some online help to fix that but it didn't seem to do anything :( Maybe I didn't do it right and it's still using the integrated gpu? I have plenty of games that run fine, so that sounds like it could be the problem. I'll give it another shot and see if I can't figure this out, cause this game is great and I'd love to have it playing smoothly on my PC.

I use a GTX-1080 and it works perfectly on 1440p and 4k. These are how I have it set in NVidia profiles. I have in-game settings maxed. Beyond this IDK.

Go on nvidia control panel:

Make sure your preferred graphics processor is set to your gaming one. If you have an integrated graphics card nioh is most likely trying to run off it. Make sure you're you've ruled that out before you start looking into other possibilities.

I run with a 970. Latest nvidia drivers. I haven't done any tweaking and haven't run into any problems.

Reset your 3d settings to default in nvidia control panel?
