I WANT TO BE OP
what build do you think? on a side note im using the kusarigama but finding very few revenants with this weapon and killing a revenant doesn't gaurentee a drop, is there a reason everyone is using swords, dual swords and the obidachi?

Dual swords seem really quick and hit multiple enemies/stunlock them easy.... abidachi for it's range.

Everything is viable imo. Was playing with a sword for the majority of my playthrough and had no issue, switched to dual sword now because i want to be faster than the flash while applying burn and dealing bonus damage to burned targets. Other weapons suit different playstyles. You will discover Ninjutsu and Magic later on, don't neglect them, they add a ♥♥♥♥ ton of different styles

Using the spear and kusarigama felt really easy, Kusarigama have very op skills too.

I use Uchigatana and the chain-sickle-thing. They compliment each other nicely. One has range and speed while the other has good burst dmg and stagger. Chain sickle seemed directly better than dual swords. Uchigatana seems directly better than axes. I dunno, I like my setup.

As far as I can tell, in this game you won't ever be OP. Not like in Dark Souls games where you can get some of the best weapons early in the game and roflstomp everything with a little bit of early grinding.

If you just want to be a braindead build, get a kusarigama with Reaper and Bladestorm. Get the mystic art that the sickle does more damage. Equip Kato. Get some +skill damage on your gear. Go into critical and just watch things melt while in Living Weapon. It isn't the most optimal setup, but it is easy to use and you can just spam it without any type of brain.

Sorry but you have no idea how wrong you are. If you build correctly you can one shot every boss on any difficulty, even the 999'th layer of the abyss. Players beat all 999 layers of the Abyss in 2 days thanks to one-shot builds. The game has severe balancing problems, to the point that in the end game you have to be really careful or you'll end up snapping the game in half by accident.

Wow I was not expecting that. Huh well I don't want to be that stupidly OP. Maybe I'll go back to dual swords

Ha no worries. To compensate most high level players either reset back to level 1, or use no gear or low level weapons to not break the game. As noted it can get really stupid.

Warning Spoilers of some DLC bosses (their names mostly, they don't get to attack as they die before their introduction finishes):

This is on the highest difficulty, the hardest floors of the abyss and he two-shots the bosses, not even using an optimized setup. It can get REALLY stupid hahaha!

My favorite weapon so far is the Kusarigama. The "weak" high stance attacks hit quick and hard and the strong high stance attack has an insane reach.

I must agree with you 100%. You hit the nail on the head. I played this on ps4 first and there are many paths to OP especially with kusarigama in high stance during the early game. Sloth was very OP too but I'm not sure if they nerfed it. Living weapon used to be crazy too right from the getgo as long as you understood how it worked but I think it was also nerfed. Happy Hunting.

I'm not finding Bladestorm. What is that?
puzzlefox Jul 13, 2018 @ 4:17pm
He’s referring to blade spin.

Heh, yeah I was wrong in my earlier post for sure.

Well, some of that was that they were on patch 1.18 at the time. It was still possible then to get two graces on the same ethereal item, and all (Critical) effects would work if you were in critical health and entered LW mode. 1.20 nerfed pretty much every LW build since you could no longer gain bonuses based on low health.

Sloth basically gets progressively more nerfed the higher difficulty you go. By the end of WotN and Abyss, it basically only slows about one attack before it wears off. Only reason I even still have the skill is because I'll use it to help my summoners when I play random encounters.

you are wrong here with the dark souls games part as well , idk about the first 2 because i bearly touched ds2 and unfortunelly still didn't played the first one , but in 3 at least you can get roled easely even with end game gear if you don't know the boss movesets and how to doge/block/counter them and because all the weapons are the same , no stats to bump your dmg to the sky
that game really kicked my ass even with very good weapons or elements against the boss is weak to (champion gundyr/dancer early etc)
