Alette/Gil help
I got a good ending, but was surprised when, at the end, I never got to have a conversation where Gil's feelings for Alette are reciprocated. Was there something I missed? I thought that maybe promotions had something to do with it, since I promoted Alette all the way to Level 15 and Gil was only at Level 9, since I didn't use him in quite as many battles.

It happens on your 3rd return to the city. If you played too good and you had too many days so your Iver caravan beat the game before the 3rd return, you missed that. And sadly these events are really cool.

You can try to rest as much as you can with Iver caravan to waste more time or make bad calls on previous returns to buy less time.

Alright, hold on.

I'd just started TBS1 one month ago and I just completed TBS3 today. No walkthrough, no wiki, no guides, one playthrough. And I had Egil killed back in the beginning of TBS1 so I barely remember him.

I did not know there was romance in this game! My poor Alette. If I knew I'd kept him alive. I think I'd missed early hints, somehow?

Time to replay the whole Saga, I guess...

Egil is one of the hardest characters to keep alive - there's an achievement in TBS1 for keeping him through to the end. You might need to replay a couple of times to get him through all the things that can kill him. Even back in that game it was pretty clear that he had enough of a crush on Alette to be willing to die for her, repeatedly.

Good luck though!

Ah I see, I only returned to Arberrang twice. I was even gonna go for the achievement where I can only return once, on my next playthrough. Thanks for letting me know!

Yeah, Gil died pretty early on in my first playthrough of tbs1 too, way back in Skogr. But I saw the achievement where he survives the whole game so I had to play again if I wanted to keep him around, so I did.

And just a hint to help you with this goal: don't take the deal to raid the storehouse on your way out of Frostvellr. I'd suggest stocking up on food as much as you can beforehand.
