Oddleif [SPOILERS]
Did anyone notice that if Rook dies at the end of the game Alleo remarks that Oddleif has a bump on her belly? Rook left something in the world as well.
Not sure if this happens in other runs with Alette surviving or dying as well. Can anyone confirm?

I haven't finished Banner Saga 3 at with Alette yet. But I think it's safe to assume Oddleif got pregnant either during banner saga 2 at the godstone of lovers (can't remember the name) if you decide to spend the night with her or at the beginning of banner saga 3 when you also have that option (which nets you the shipped steam achievement). Either way Rook and her likely got busy more then once in the span or time from Banner Saga 2 and 3

I can certainly confirm from my run that Alette does not get Oddlief pregnant.

whoa! how would that even be possible?!

Well my idea was that perhaps rook and odd got bussy in TBS1. I dunno, it would had been nice if Alette got a little brother all of a sudden to take care. Quite sweet too.

If Odd ends up being with rook's kid, I imagine Iver would probably end up being a father figure, pretty cool stuff and set up for a just in case sequel. If that ever happens even tought I doubt it.

I don't really think that would happen, depending on the choices you make. Oddleif's husband can survives for a good part of Banner saga 1 and while Oddleif's attraction to Rook is evident to just about everyone playing the game. It's presented as Rook being too blind or distracted to see it until Banner saga 2 when Oddleif confesses her feelings and then you get to have a few scenes where you can continue that subplot along.

Welp, THERE goes the missed opportunity of Alette helping to raise her new little brother. You have to admit that would had been cool AF.

It's never made clear how old Alette is exactly but she's probably not far from being able to have a child of her own to raise.

Considering she hooks up with the blond dude that basically never dies with his shield wall ability. That's probably what's going to happen after the game pretty quickly.

I like your description of Egil as someone who basically never dies.

By the second game he learned that the safest place to be is as far away from cutscenes as possible so he was fine.

Then..he forgot..

All his possible deaths are scripted events depending on obvious choices, rather then combat. So saying he dies a lot is kinda misleading people who havent played since his death is never in the active hands of the players. You are just told they happen, even when it wouldn't make a lot of sense, since Egil is better then just about every characters that "kills" him in scripted events. Onef certainly wouldn't be able to kill him if the player had control of the fight. In actual battles he has the highest armor of any human unit, decent strength, very good break and exertion. And his shield wall ability combined with his ridiculous 16 armor base once maxed out means he can shrug blows from even the most powerful dredge and survive. Add in dodge, divert and fortitude and he easily tops out as the toughest human in the game

I nearly smashed something when the stupid game gave me a simple one liner written by a 6 Yr old that unceremoniously killed my egil. Its like bs3 used kindergarten children to write the last game to save on costs.

Okay but this basically happens often enough in the first game as to be worthy of having an achievement dedicated to avoiding all the times it can happen.

Agree! But for example, you got some clues, like when early on that dredge in skogr. BS3 gave me none, nada, nothing, zero, just a popup out of nowhere, no context, "oh hey Egil just got stabbed LOLZ soz buddy :) "

I have no doubt about it but I do doubt that she would be able to get Odd preg. Still It would had been nice to see Alette helping raise her new brother.

My only problem with the possible ending of Odd ending pregg and with Rook on the otherworld is that you dont get to ally the Dredge, let alone have Bastion "which is a really good chap" is there any other possibility of rook or Alette dying after allying with the dredge to get that ending?
