For the item wearing wave-boss to appear, you need to always finish the waves early and continue fighting after reinforcement phase.
Is that what you did ?
I can't remember i there is an item for every single wave battle but that should be the case for most.
It particularly punishes the previously dominant strategy of leaving enemies alive at a sliver of health to pad out their initiative queue. You can't afford those extra turns spent mopping up.
Bah, arguing here is as silly as the reinfrocement waves system in this game.
It's a mechanic. There is a timer. It's explained. What's the problem?
You could fight OR flee.
If you fight, you could perform WELL and clean the board in time or NOT.
At that point you could rearrange and reposition if you performed well, or not if you performed bad, and don't get the item.
It's a challenge. What are you talking about? It's exactly "WELL, PUT TIME IN THE EQUATION" to force you playing more aggressively.
Personally, i would have also implemented a "60 second turn duration - mode", just to make you feel the pressure, like in Survival mode, but THIS is a matter of taste.
Err its NEVER explained. If i must repeat myself, here i go. Iss never explained that if you dont kill everyone BEFORE the 40 odd turn thing ends then u get no item. Even though you have to kill more enemies with the same group.
So its not a challenge, its just badly thought out.
