Love Letter

Is this achievement near the start or something? not sure where it could be, I just completed the game again, any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it :) It is the letter on the floor opposite Orge before you jump into the portal for the final showdown

I can't seem to find it at the portal area, I walked all around the room and don't see it :(

Edit: Am i supposed to do a 2nd run to find them? that probably explains it...

I can't see it there either, is there a requirement you need to meet beforehand?

You have to finish the game once first. Then, if you start a new game you'll be on your 'second week' (playthrough). There are actually three letters scattered throughout the game that you can find in various rooms, although only the last one is needed to unlock the achievement. These new letters reveal a little more about some characters that might suprise you. I'd recommend playing through the game again and checking everything that looks like a book or piece of paper, instead of just googling them online for the secret.

also does anyone know how to get the "survivor" achievement? save yourself from a fatal fall. where and when?? I went through the whole game and didnt get it

When you are outside at the cliffs (you get to it after the mouse-hall/room where the doll you need to burn blocks your path. Save at the crow and then purposely press the down arrow to fall off

Do you guys know hhow to get the Kaitai Shinsho achievement? That and the love letter achievements are the only ones im missing.

I actually found four new notes in the second playthrough. I agree that they're definitely worth checking out.

• The first is a diary in the 2F Bedroom, near where Mom's belongings are.
  
• The second is a scrap of paper in the B2F Passage, amidst the pile of books.
  
• The third is a diary in the left B3F Private Room, on the bottom-left table.
  
• The last, of course, is a love letter in the B3F Laboratory, on the ground across from Ogre.
