Jump scares?
I know the original had some what of a "scary" setting at times. With ambient sounds and enemies that doesn't make any noise while moving towards you, that could make you completely suprised by their attacks.

How is this game?

There are some light horror elements, and a few 'jump scares' and ambushes. Most of the 'horror' is psychological, though.

There are bodily horror aspects ranging from cybernetics to mutations, but I wouldn't necessarily label this as a horror game aside from the many situations I waltzed unprepared into various combat situations.

It's basically the same in regards to "enemies can surprise you" moments, but there's no like, loud noises and spooky image popscare stuff.
