Bought this game to play System Shock, not to play chess just so the devs can pad out the run time for this game.

Puzzles are ok but chess are wrong - I dont get it.
Also for me it was mate in 3 moves...

Use chessnextmove.com , win at chess easily, and increase your inventory size.

It took me 3 moves. Literally 30 seconds with a little thinking.

My only issue with the chess puzzle is they do the funny thing where they limit you to a platform with awful visibility.

If im enough of a god gamer to get the V2 boots let me at least play my moves from the conveniently placed beams that are right above the chess podiums, instead of fighting the Podium for the ability to see 30% of my board.

Do what I did. Stand on the ledge of the platform next to the button.

In the right spot it won't go back down.

Spent an hour playing chess and i dont regret it. Great puzzle.

agree. I actually didn't use the platform so it was even worse for me. For some reason every time i pushed the button i went up and then down immediately.
I also killed a bird and it fell down into the same slot i had a piece in, required several tries to move the piece.

wow, game helps you to broaden your horizon. it's le bad because i have to actually take my time and maybe learn something new in the process.

sad that players in here try to help with anything other then just telling OP to do it the legit way.

OP can use the web just fine if he wanted to get help. this thread exists only for whining purposes.

Some of you people are weird. "Just learn to play chess!" Ok, next Mario game lets add some quantum mechanics puzzles and trigonometry. If you can't pass those puzzles, get gud! >.>

I'd be fine with that, but then, I don't have this weird objection to learning new things that seems to be endemic lately.
