How do you activate the lift to executive?
I cleared the flight deck and blew up the CPU node but still can't enter the lift. Says "power diverted to level R". So, what to do?

No idea why it doesn't say "Level Reactor." You have to go there.

And What would I do there? I already explored most if not everything there.

Except for the reactor core which I can't enter without dying.

Did you put the isotope thingy in the one thing and then hit the lever activating the station's radiation shields? (Lol I can't remember the names, sorry). I haven't fully explored it myself yet either, but it's the only place I haven't fully explored to my ability at that point in the game.

After that I assume you're supposed to go up and hit that one button somewhere that otherwise would end the game. I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. They really should've added a journal, even a basic one.

Yeah, I did that. You mean the button for the mining laser on the research level? I tried pushing that as well but it won't fire, now, anymore.

Well poo, I don't know then. If someone doesn't answer here then I'll have to look it up. This remake is so faithful you can use guides for the original game.

Yeah, I'm already looking up walkthroughs but I can't find the answer there either.

You have to destroy the laser first.
As described by Nathan D'Arcy in the audio logs.
Fire it into the shields of the station.
But you have to overcome the security mechanism.
Find the override code in the research library and put in into the right terminal on the reactor level (its beyond the trap death room with the mobile lasers)

Power directed To R means you did not complete the laser mission yet.
And laser takes up power.

You need to do the laser mission.

.(Reactor core is lategame are and very heaviy radiated you do not need to enter it also full of Sec 1 and 2 robots.)

Research lvl:

In the research lvl you need sciene access card from Admin security.

That keycard opens many optional areas. The mandatory one is in a radiated are inside that area an optional cyberspace which can be used to disable most of the radiation in that region.

"isotope X-22".will be in a red forcefield briefcase you can disable it close by and retrieve it.
Do NOT drop it.

Reactor lvl:
You need to bring "isotope X-22" inside the Reactors "Radiation Shield Controls" place it somewhere and flip the switch so the shield is ON.

Research lvl:You need to enter "libary location and complete the cyberstuff.Once out the nearby screen will flash a 3 digit code writte it down it is random for everyone.

Inside the reactor lvl you need to find to "Safety Override. location.
Inside there you need to enter the laser code and flip a switch="Safety Interlocks Disabled."

THEN you need to go back to research: General Control then control room and fire the laser.

You can do the isotope and laser code in 1 visit as well I just wrotte it down randomly.

There are likely scripted spawn caused by your missions progress.

Ah ok I haven't fully explored the reactor level and thus haven't found the place to disable safeties. I already got the code.
Space Cowboy Jun 4, 2023 @ 4:14am
Yeah, I totally missed the safety override - I already had the code but didn't know what to do with it.

Thank you man! I spent ages trying to figure this out, and almost as long trawling the net for an answer. You delivered. Hats off to you!
Masoterian Jun 5, 2023 @ 1:55pm
dude, that took me so long to figure this out, lol. I disabled the safety locks and turned on the shield, but then i spent like an hour running around reactor, because i thought it refers to the safety locks in the reactor core, haha. didnt cross my mind for such long time, that theyre tied to the mining laser. wanted to look it up online like 5 times, but everytime said to myself, ♥♥♥♥ it, you got this, lol.

even tho moments like this can be frustrating, i miss when games forced you to think, to explore, to backtrack etc, and didnt show a waypoint for every step. insane game, havent been immersed in a game like this for years.
