The game keeps freezing on Mac

This game simply doesn't work on Mac. First I couldn't start it (I found here on forum that you have to go thru multiplayer, in order to get to single player), second the screen flickers (you can fix this by lowering resolution), and now the game keeps freezing after two minutes of gameplay.
I have tried to lower all graphics setting, and it didn't help. :(

i'm having this problem too, it's really getting annoying

i keep getting a "warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite" error whenever i open the game and im guessing that's part of the problem, but i have no idea how to fix it or what i means cus im no computer geek and google wasn't very useful

I had this same exact problem, the game would keep freezing at a specific point in the game, and I would have to manually restart my computer. I don't know if this actually solved it, or my perseverance finally paid off, but I went into the terminal and typed "sudo systemsetup -setrestartfreeze on" and entered my password when prompted, which makes a mac automatically restart anytime it senses a freeze, and then I started the game (through the roundabout method mentioned before) and it worked, the game plays fine and I was finally able to play more than 3 minutes of the game. Hope this helps!

I'm having this problem on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017). Worked well enough on my previous laptop using the launching workaround before it gave up the ghost. I would like to finish this game, but am stuck now that I no longer have access to an older computer.

I was having the same problem as well. So I asked Ubisoft Support and they said "The only supported version of Mac OS for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood are Mac OSX 10.5 or OSX 10.6, so if you are trying to run it on a different version of the OS, our team is unable to assist you further, as we do not support this game on any other version of Mac OS than the above mentioned." - RIP ACBrotherhood on Mac
