Report a translation problem
I thought the PC community already had a patch for it but apparently I was wrong. Stupid console port, I think nothing can be done about it.
Does anyone know whether this is also in AC Revelations?
And I don't find any fix...
At the very bottom of the page there is a guy that talks about a Texmod that can help you out with it

I had the same problem. It seems the Steam overlay isn't truly/completely disabled from just unchecking the box in Steam. After some googling i ended up with this fix:
"This can currently be fixed by deleting or renaming the following file while Steam is running:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\GameOverlayRenderer.dll
This will kill the Steam overlay and resolve the issue, though unless you rename the file back before you next start Steam, it will cause Steam to take a little longer to start up next time while it redownloads the file.

It's not ideal but it did resolve the problem for me.
