Fix: Cannot Start Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Symptom: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood doesn't start. Your status will say in-game for a few seconds and will eventually go back to Online. If you check event log, you'll have the following error below:

Faulting application name: ACBSP.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4d90ac83
Faulting module name: ACBSP.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4d90ac83
Exception code: 0xc0000417
Fault offset: 0x01924793
Faulting process id: 0x1afc
Faulting application start time: 0x01cde9b51a866e15

The standard fix is to make sure you have the Saved Game folder in the Users directory. If you moved the User folders (Documents, Pictures, Saved Games, etc.) in a different drive — more common on SSD owners because of the limited space. The operating system (Windows), doesn't have a problem tracking the new locations of the User folders — it automatically alters the registry entries for these folders so that you don't have to specify the location on every boot up.

Unfortunately, Steam or uPlay aren't able to follow through the new location and instead, uses the default (C:\Users\<Profile Name>\Saved Games\) even if Windows has already deemed it's on a different drive. So even if re-create the file, it won't make any difference. What you need to do is revert the registry setting for 'Saved Games' back into its default location so Steam (or uPlay) can use it. Simply download and double-click the file here: http://goo.gl/vLZCj.

the way to fix it is by restoring your user savegame folder location
you can find it in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
key: {4C5C32FF-BB9D-43B0-B5B4-2D72E54EAAA4}

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
key: {4C5C32FF-BB9D-43B0-B5B4-2D72E54EAAA4}

the default value for both is: C:\Users\USER\Saved Games
where USER is your username folder

Also make sure the folder exists
