Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Oh dear god the camera angle changes...
Is there any way to stop the game form changing the camera angle while I'm freerunning? I'm fed up of falling from the side of Castel Sant'Agelo because the fraking game keeps switching me from "Run forward to grab that ledge!" to "Run right to grab that ledge!" halfway through a chain of swings.

Unfortunately not. It is a pain in the arse.

I swear, every time this happened to me in Assassin's Creed II, I heard a voice saying "I'm helping!" No camera, no you are not. And now I know I get to look forward to the camera "helping" me in Brotherhood, too >_<

The only real way I know to combat this is to take things slow. Of course, that's really only practical if there's no time limit, and you're not being chased by guards who want to kill you.

....technically, I guess you could say the camera actually is helping. Does sometimes make it a bit easier to know where to go next. The problem is when you try to actually get there....

Just a thought, have if you're using an xbox360 controller to play you can click the right analogue stick in to centre the camera. I know it's not ideal but it works for me. This game could've used the same "action camera" function that was in AC2, but I have not seen it available.

I just had an epic fight (with 6 Borgia guards) I couldn’t see. The camera stubbornly showed the trees I was fighting under and I couldn’t run. Presumably because I was surrounded.

Apparently I won :-)

I also had to make a few unintentional leaps of faith, because the camera didn’t show the next logical point I could grab.
