Report a translation problem
The only real way I know to combat this is to take things slow. Of course, that's really only practical if there's no time limit, and you're not being chased by guards who want to kill you.
....technically, I guess you could say the camera actually is helping. Does sometimes make it a bit easier to know where to go next. The problem is when you try to actually get there....

I also had to make a few unintentional leaps of faith, because the camera didn’t show the next logical point I could grab.
