Brutus Armor disappearing

I spent a lot of time trying to find the damned lairs of romulus, and after 2 days of looking for them and trying to do the missions within a 10 minute period (My weekends are busy, dont judge me). And yesterday, it was gone. I looked at my inventory and it said i completed the key searching. In the hidden locations, it said i also got all of the missions completed.


I dont really want to uninstall it and reinstall it. any help? (thanks in advance)

It's gone from where? Have you checked the armour racks at the Tibre Island Hideout?

Yeah, also, the knife you get is also gone. It's just... gone.

Also just +1ing this, though it's reported on the internet elsewhere as well.

Had it for all of two minutes before it disappeared on me. Never even got to use the knife.

Have re-played Romulus Lair memories, tried the menu inventory, and tried the armor rack. No suggestions on the internet have helped. I have 100%ed everything apart from shop investments.

Many of the other reports on the internet of the Brutus Armor going missing did the same thing I did -- in Sequence 8, when you're near the area where you get the armor anyway, don't go grab it like we did. This seems to be a fairly common trait for those of us who've had the armor disappear. Doesn't seem to be a PC-only bug either. One person's account exactly mirrored my circumstances:

During sequence 8, I went and got the Brutus Armor instead of finding and stopping a meeting between two individuals. Ended up desynching, and when I came back my character was wearing the dyed robes I had on before finding the armor and the knife was gone. Also, the people who were supposed to show up for the mission's meeting never showed up. Had to quit the game entirely and come back before the mission could continue. Afterward, went to the hideout to check if the armor was there, and no such luck -- the mannequin is empty. 6/6 keys found, the location where the armor is supposed to be is no longer indicated on the map, and the armor is not on the mannequin in that area either, and I can't re-activate the door there.

Screwed out of the most powerful armor in the game and a nice looking knife.
Though I still mostly enjoyed finally playing ACB for the first time, this was just the cherry on top of an already glitchy buggy mess.
