Go to the .app file. right click and "SHOW CONTENTS". inside click on Mac OS and look in there. To run it click on the acbmp_sf file. For my install it's like this.

/Volumes/Apps & Misc./SteamLibrary/SteamApps/common/Assassins Creed Brotherhood/Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.app/Contents/MacOS/acbmp_sf

I created a alias and just run it from that icon.

It's not the fault of the machine, it's a flawed port... typically due to a wrapper or a company that doesn't check the port on different configurations (install on external drives, or different paths). Muppet, I sold serviced and was tech guru for Windows machines since my first in 1980. I bad mouthed macs for 3 decades. (I was GIVEN one for payment for a job) forced upon me. I found it... interesting... then fell in love. Not enough speed I sold the dual core and bought a quad core. This thing kicks my (PC's - (I still own 3 including a huge box - Dell) with dual monitors and win8. It's a intel, same graphics cards, nvidia, AMD etc... hardware is similar (but held to higher standards) so then it comes to OS. I never liked windows. "7" was about the best. 8 is a huge step backwards. Since using OSX and seeing what speed and power is - I would never go back to windows. I will only buy Mac's from now on. Mind you I HATE APPLE as a company. They do REALLY stupid things. (larger phones? smaller ipads? thats' not new tech). No network access for IOS devices?) No copy command in OSX? oh - but the OSX "spotlight" feature is so sexy... find ANYTHING in a split second. Doing a search on my windows machine takes in the area of 10 minutes. Art and Music require great graphics cards and super processing power. As does VIDEO (final cut pro is the best video editing program in the world" My iMac is FAR BETTER for work. However I do use my PC to run my vinyl cutter. that reminds me. I should check to see if there is a Mac version... though my cutter is downstairs in thte PC room, and I prefer using the iMac upstairs. Naugh - I'll keep the vinyl cutter on the PC. Even if the crashing is getting old.

The issue is taking PC software and wrapping it poorly in a OSX wrapper. So - go inside the package and run the file that the wrapper can't find. Botherhood runs great in 2560x1480 res with all graphics on high.

Mac's did suck - which is why they were totally reborn. The motorola 68000 chip was poor and the ONE BUTTON MOUSE was ridiculous. things were so locked up you couldn't get into things you wanted to do. (but that was the old MacIntosh.) OUTDATED they changed to the intel chip and redesigned and re-wrote OSX from the ground up. Something WINDOWS should do. It's been added onto and patched way to much. l like adding additions on a house- things never mesh properly. Windows needs a full re-write. BUT Pc is better for repairs. And God knows, I've had my share and have a stack of about 15 hard drives and graphics cards and memory that has to be swapped out. It is nice to swap out or upgrade a older graphics card. The modulatiry is the only superior part of PC's. Apple could - but again (as a company that is more into profits than superior sales and products) they can force the sale of a NEW MACHINE for a faulty graphics chip rather than a 300.00 swap. All my PC's have been new and most I've built up by selecting custom parts. My two (so far) Mac's have been bought "used". I have a friend that has a istore (non offical) that repairs and sells refurbs and used machines).
For 1500.00 I got a 27" 200ppi screen, i5 3.1 ghz, 12gb ram, 500GB SSD, 2TB HD, external optical drive, wireless kb and mouse. Many say they're over priced. Not the way I've purchased them. My last 4 PC monitors (only the monitor) were over 1500. I can not vouch for the laptops. I see lots of apple laptop owners complaining about running games. but really? you don't buy a laptop for games. They are for college/school. and these kids want to play games on a low machine that's designed to do school work without over heating. My experience so far is with OSX and two iMac's. I was the guy everyone called to fix their PC - and just have me come over to a friends and fix their windows/boot issues. I also was beta tester (Im listed in the credits) for Activision (PC games) and For MSFT on their last flight sim community. But since the annoying "week of transition" from PC to Mac - I'll never go back.
PS - my most tech savvy friends had switched to Mac before I did and told me after a week I would love it. I didn't believe it. Now they say "told ya so".

First of all, I fixed the problem via this video. But it's still annoying to play.

I used this and am finally able to play multiplayer just fine, but the game still crashes in single player. Usually it would just crash in the cut scenes, but now it won't even finish loading my save file without crashing : /

I can't find the folder that contains the file you need to modify. I get to the Application Support part, but I don't have the /Steam folder sor some reason. Can anyone help?
