Help changing Xbox360 controls configuration

Greetings!

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood with my XBox 360 controller. When I played AC 2, it was fully possible to change my controls configuration (for example, I changed the weapon wheel bind, the lock on target bind, etc).

However, when playing AC:Brotherhood, I'm only able to change my keyboard+mouse controls! Once I select my XBox 360 controller from the drop down list, my control bindings become grayed out, unable to be clicked. You can see this in the following picture:

How can I fix this? Any help is very much appreciated, since I can't stand the current bindings configuration.

EDIT: By the way, if it helps, I'm using a wireless controller.

Hey, I don't remember exactly what I did. I probably played the game with those controls. However, these days, Steam offers controller customization in Big Picture mode. Maybe that could work? Just launch Big Picture mode, find the option to customize controls, and once you are done, try launching the game. Not sure if it will work since it launches via the Ubisoft launcher.

I'm afraid there are no official methods of rebinding the controls in-game.

Hi. Thank you for your response! But, I have to say, it is extremely bad practice and it is inconvenient indeed! I got used to the controls config, but it is bad game design practice with no benefits at all! Disappointing!
