After playing AC II I'd probably go with [AC: BrotheHood[/i] because it has way better mechanic than it's predecessor and the story's lenght and quality are decent too.
Btw, I've got both all those games and even despite the mechanic is way more fluid in Rogue and enticing to keep using, I still prefer the story that BrotherHood presents.
In the end, I'd probably go for AC: B (also because it already brings the Da Vinci DLC for free and it wasn't a bad one as well).
In brotherhood every aspect from the parkour to the open world the combat is smoothed out and better than the previous game. The story is also good. the graphics are improved a lot (believe it or not, there are actual colors now),
in the end, if you like the more modern mechanics like the naval combat i suggest you pick up rogue. But if you prefer a better story and the "old" parkour system go with brotherhood.
You said you are tired of yellowish: while brotherhood its definetely not yellow, rogue would very refreshing.
in my opinion i would pick brotherhood but i could be biased 'cuz i'm italian.
great revenge story, great music, great atmosphere, great game play, great fun, and to build the brotherhood from scratch was also fun and rewarding especially if you like the story as the assassin recruits all have a story going on within the mini game background on their training missions.
trust me, this is the game you want to play, rogue is a revenge story as well, but it's not really that great, and doesn't compare to edzio's overall story.
The "realism" coding that went into character movement for Unity made the game feel sluggish and slow. I loved everything else about Unity, but, alas, that "input-lag" feeling (again, from the realistic character movements) made the parkour feel like absolute crap. I went back and played Black Flag, Rogue and even AC3 as well as Revelations, just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Sure enough, they all felt smoother and faster/ better response time than Unity ever did.
In short, the only fun I had with Unity was multiplayer and that was short lived. Rogue was amazing all around. Brotherhood will always be king to me. The multiplayer, sound, music, story... literally everything about Brotherhood was pure gold.
