Maybe try changing the resolution just for the fight to begin.

Get an FPS limiter software, limit your fps to 60 (I used 20) and retry the mission.

don't fight the soldiers on that floor. run STRAIGHT to the next memory spot/fog/thingy does it for me. enabling or disabling VSync made no difference for me.

oh no, sorry to hear that. I guess try different other approaches if you haven't exhausted them. i factually tried each and every method I googled.

though realistically I don't think there's gonna be any patches that follow.

I eventually got passed that point with running straight to the memory spot, ignoring the bloody fights with the soldier and it correctly triggered the next cutscene. from there, I quickly finish the game and am now on AC: Revelation. tbh I dragged playing AC: Brotherhood for years...

good luck my friend. try once in a while after like a major update from Windows sometimes it helps (an updated Windows 10 helped me being able to finish FC3)
