Got Medici and Venetian Capes unlocked (Here is Save file for you too)

Hello, folks. Remember the "Project Legacy", a Facebook application that, before it was taken down by the Facebook authorities, allowed you to unlock 2 bonus outfits in your AC Brotherhood savegames? Well, it has been for almost 5 years since it was taken down, but somehow, for me I was able to sync my savegames with Facebook's Project Legacy and unlock the 2 bonus in-game Outfits for Ezio to wear, the Medici Cape and the Venetian Cape. I am surprised.

I thought the Medici Cape and the Venetian Cape are unobtainable today, because Project Legacy was taken down. What changed now? Can anyone else unlock these 2 Outfits for their AC Brotherhood savegames now?

The Venetian and Medici Capes came with the Ezio Collection (the remastered II, Brotherhood, and Revelations), as well as some weapons for II that were only originally available from linking AC: Bloodlines on the PSP to AC: II. However, the Ezio Collection was exclusively available to consoles, and Ubisoft did not add the capes or weapons with any of the editions on Steam or the Ubisoft store for PC, they also did not make it content which you could buy with Ubisoft points on the Club either, despite players asking for this.

Some people have claimed that they can link their Ubisoft accounts with the Facebook game recently, but you still needed to be Level 30 (I think) in the Facebook game itself before you were granted the capes, so if you didn't play the game while it was on Facebook and reach Level 30, then I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get the capes unless Ubisoft themselves release it later down the line.

I would like to hear your method in obtaining the capes though, because I could be wrong and there might be a workaround which Ubisoft implemented without people noticing. :)

Just, in the Main Menu, where we choose to play one of the 3 saves for Single Player, you get a button prompt to press Spacebar or X for syncing your save with Project Legacy. I clicked it just out of curiosity to see if anything happens, and after 2-3 seconds, I got a message that the save has been synced with Project Legacy and that 2 items have been added to my Inventory. I went to the game, and indeed, in the Inventory, under the Costumes section, 2 new capes were added, with the exclamation mark ! next to them, indicating that they are new items for Ezio to wear.

I'm a big ol completionist so I'd like to unlock these capes too. It was as simple as clicking a button? I gotta try that one I get home.

It would be great if they indeed unlocked the capes for anyone curious enough to press the button. However, if it's an isolated case and it doesn't work for others... FYI, since the capes are bound to your save file, you can get them simply by obtaining a save with capes.

1) Try syncing your save by pressing SPACE to unlock the capes

and if that does not work, then

2) Send me your save file to unlock them for you.

Alright, I checked this method and this message popped up: "No new awards available". I then checked the Inventory anyway and saw no capes.
Apparently, as KriHavok stated, you had to unlock the capes in the Project Legacy before it was taken down. For those who didn't the only option is save file sharing.

Ι can send you my save file with the capes unlocked and game 100% completed. (missions & guild challenges 100% completed, Rome 100% rebuild, Assassin recruits leveled to maxed level, all collectibles gathered, all upgrades purchased, and all Animus Training Program trials have their gold medals earned). Could you like to have it? But there is one problem - my SaveGame's name (the one which you choose when starting a new game) is the default one (Desmond) and you can't change it.

How does the save file transfer work? If I load up your save file, would I get the capes on a new game that I start as well?

Capes can be unlocked only via syncing of that save with Project Legacy-connected accounts. I can upload right now my synced save file for you and let me know if the capes are unlocked for you. If they are, then the Assassin's Creed Wikia should be updated with this useful information.

Thanks for the offer but I already had these capes on my main save file (slot 1 Desmond). I just wanted to check out of curiosity if I could unlock the capes for my second slot.

I have the proyect legacy capes too, you only need a fresh save without the capes, and synchronize that save with facebook in an account of anyone that have thats capes unlocked in proyect legacy, for example if you sharing your savegame with me and i copy your save game in my save directory, load your save game, and synchronize my facebook account you can get the proyect legacy capes too,i did this several times with saved games from my friends.

So, this means the people without Project Legacy on their accounts, can still get the Capes. This is great news!!!
