Is it still worth it buying this game?

I've wanted to buy this game but I've seen many discussions saying there was a DLC to get before 1st of October, I didn't get it because I didn't have the game in that time.

Is it still posible to get it? Or I won't be able to get that dlc anymore?
Also, I've read the multiplayer is dead, but not because of lack of players but actually the servers are down forever.

With all this, is it still worth it buying it or should I take the free way?

its just 5 pounds, Go get it! Its the best Assassins creed game. But i would suggest you to play Ac2 first becouse Brotherhood is the 2nd part of the series. Dont play the new ♥♥♥♥ of Assassins creed. Play Brotherhood!

edit Multiplayer is dead but its useless anyway. The dlc is only Multiplayer content so just buy the base Version.

Thanks for replying :) to sum up, the only DLC that is no longer available is the multiplayer one? So is multiplayer still active but no one is playing it or they cancelled everything about multiplayer? Because Steam Store says multiplayer functions are no longer available for this game

Multiplayer doesnt work for me. I think its not working anymore. But i think multiplayer is useless and the true gem is the singleplayer.

I don't have it already because im playing the games following the order so im finishing AC1.

For AC2 there are ways to "unlock" the content because it is inisde the game when you download it and if you edit the HEX of the game you can get it work.


Right now we don't have a way to unlock the contents for this game and im not really sure if getting the deluxe edition bring them "unlocked".

Since the steam page don't show enough info, i've found this searching in other websites that sells the game:

"You will be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Additionally, the installation and access for the following DLC and ULC will be unavailable: Animus 1.0 Animus 2.0 Animus 3.0 The Da Vinci Disappearance Ubisoft Connect rewards"

Even if there's no DLC (really sad) for us, I will get the game in the future.
The DLC are important, for sure, but sure the game still good enough.

How do you get the deluxe edition? I just see one thing to purchase on the Steam Store and about linking accounts, it says that if I uninstall the game and then days later I want to install it again my progress won't be saved? I mean, there is no cloud saving?

I acquired this game in CD-DVD form all those years back and it came with the "Da Vinci disappearance" DLC inside it for free and now whenever I install it from their now called UbiSoft Connect (former UPlay) it still works fine and brings that DLC's content within.

Now, the main issue is getting some of the items you usually got more easily from the "Investments" feature when interacting with Shops/Banks, because that feature is now dead because it required a UbiSoft's servers connection to work.
So, expect the 2nd "Shrunken Head" to finish the 3rd "Weapons Shop Quest" (and obtain the said armour) to be a lot harder than what is used to be because now you only can relly upon getting it from regular "Thiefs" (i.e., not the ambushing ones that pop up at certain points of the map during the night time) and the "Borgia Messengers".

Definitely still worth buying. The Da Vinci Disappearance and Copernicus Conspiracy (originally ps3 exclusive) seem to be fully integrated into the PC version as of now by default. I'm not sure about any additional templar lairs however the outfits and weapons that were locked via Uplay rewards or Deluxe Edition content seem to be accessible via hex editing or Cheat Engine.

I was looking for a way to get the deluxe edition's extra armour and came across these tables for Cheat Engine. If you're comfortable using them to edit real time hex values and scripts (which you can check yourself) it seems to work for me!:

in usa yes in uk no

and yeah there are already auth unlockers for every game taken down

Yeah only Copernicus was exclusive hence the brackets. I'm unsure about the DLC files issue though, I've downloaded the game only just the other week fresh install and everything seems to be there. I've just played through Copernicus again and the Da Vinci DLC appears later if I'm correct during or after sequence 8?

Thankfully these cheat engine tables do allow access to the trilogy's extra outfits, weapons and armour at least. Still maddening we have to mess around like this though eh?

one would think that ubi would just release all of this into the game without auth
allow us to dl the dlcs freely like most old games on sites have.
ubi included.

again my best thought and some knowhow is that they are REVAMPING the old games to re RENT back to us.

makes no sense to push the old titles away and force us to lose all dlc
if they dont have a plan to put these out again in a pack like ME POS LEGENDARY ED
