Cannot get beyond opening video of AC Broth

I cannot get beyond the opening fight scene. There is a blinking icon that looks like a mouse with the left button in red but clicking on my mouse or pressing enter does nothing. I've restarted several times. Solutions? Files all verified fine. Thanks for the tip though.

I reinstalled the game but I get the same stuck spot. I get in, name my character get past the white video and into the orange colored fight scene where ezio begins to fight some bearded dude and they lock in battle. At that point, a little white blinking icon appears in the middle of the screen with the top left third in red. It looks a bit like a mouse and am guesing it suggests to do a left mouse click but when I do nothing happens. I press a bunch of other keys and still nothing. I hear the music, There is background fighting but I don't know how to get on with the actual game. Thoughts?

What are your PC specs?

Windows 10 pro 8 GB Ram, AMD FX-4100 Quad Core CPU, ATI Radeon HD 4600 Graphic Card with 512 RAM. I've run both Assassins Creed (1) and II on here (but not with Steam) with no problems. I've unplugged and replugged the mouse in a different port. Just finished running the opening of ACII with no problem . . . . blah*&^&* This is actually my first Steam game.

Yeah, I don't think the issue is hardware.

You have to rapidly click the mouse....

Rapidly clicking the mouse did not work. I'm going out for the evening (6-25) but will revisit this tomorrow. I really appreciate the persistance and help!!

Well that's odd. Because that's what you're supposed to do to move the hidden blade to Cesare's armor and get past that cutscene. I really hope your issue gets solved soon

Well color me slow! I guess I wasn't clicking the mouse fast enough. When I tried again today I was finally able to move into the next scene. Wooowhoooo! A bit frustrating for the game not to give the player a heads up. Grateful! Have a nice week AmericanHedgehog and laptop65 and thanks for the help!

hey, does any1 know about error 4, I can play just singleplayer trough library and launch the _sf file but I do know how to get the multiplayer..I already re-installed the game and Im on Mac

I dont game much, just wanted to try the game since there was a sale...Yeah I did and noone responded so I tried here..thanks for your help..

My apologies, verify youe game cache and if that doesn't help then just launch the game modes through their exe files or use Uplay
