Hi! I'm experiencing this problem right now and... May I ask you to be more specific on this procedure? I don't want to mess up my pc
What's that? How does it work? It's a valid alternative to the procedure described by the op?
I dont really know how could setting an affinity mess up your computer but this worked for me and i played the whole campaign through. Just do the steps i said and you should be able to play it no problem. By the way i realised i forgot the very last step on my solution so if it didnt work then try again with the last step :D I dont know about the 3rd party program "altair" mentioned but its up to you to choose which one you use.
I don't even know what "setting an affinity" means and I've never found myself in a situation where I had to play around with CPU usage so, please, would you forgive my ignorance...?
However I've managed to follow your instructions, step by step, and didn't worked unfortunately. Game still lags massively...
