Worst controls in any PC game ever!

What the hell is this? This game has the worst PC controls I've ever seen in 20 years of PC gaming. Not a joke. The worst! Hold the right mouse button to run?????????? Space bar doesn't jump??? OMFG! Are they serious? They can't really be serious, can they? Yes, they are! Even the options menu is hilarious. They actually have separate settings for "keyboard" and "keyboard + mouse." Like, who in their right mind would use keyboard only on a PC? Don't get me wrong. Controllers have their place in platform games or anything else without a movable camera, but I shouldn't have to use it because the keyboard and mouse controls are terrible. I'm so turned off now that I don't even want to play the rest of this stupid game. Thankfully Steam has refunds. Jeeze.

This is a game that is meant to be played with a controller. However, I know the pain because AC2 doesn't even have controller support. Sadly, from what I can tell the keyboard and mouse controls don't get much better.

I agree they are bad and Ubisoft agrees too as they changed it on AC3 Or AC Black Flag i can't remember but for me, I got used to them after playing the game for a long time but if you don't you can change them in options menu. It's that easy

I agree with u, but I'm pretty sure u will get on with it soon. To accept this PC controller cost me long.

I'm playing AC2 with a wireless Xbox 360 controller just fine. Do you mean it could just stop working at some point?

no, xbox 360 controller probably works fine with ac2 but xbox one is the controller they sell now and ac2 sees that as trigers being a third stick making trigger buttons useless and screwing up the controller assignments. you need a 3rd party 360CE emulator file to make xbox one controller work on ac 2. i know since i bought ac2 and found the xbox one controller map is completely messed up.

That's the way the controls are, and right mouse click isn't ONLY, for running, it toggles high action mode.You can change it in the controls anyway instead of freaking out about it.

I totally agree. played II on PC with M/K but almost gave up. But now with Brotherhood i did gave up. So I spent $80 on a Logitech F710 gamepad and then wasted a few days by torturing my self with it, but it plays even worse than with M/K as it is disastrous slow, it takes about 2 seconds just to turn the camera 180 degrees and has no precision what so ever... Are all AC controls as bad as these old ones? The plan was to play ACs from AC2 and forward, but that will for sure not happen. I may jump to a newer AC if the control is MUCH better.

Dunno why you would even play any AC on keyboard n mouse. I played AC 1,2, and now on brotherhood with ps4 and xbox 1 controllers with no issues. I had to adjust some settings for the controllers but that was it. AC2 had no issues with my ps4 triggers. Are you guys updating your xbox controllers firmware?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I play exclusively with the controller that came with my XBox One S and it works just fine with AC, AC 2 and AC Brotherhood.

Yes, I will admit the controls kinda suck for PC, but I hate even more how in AC 2 and Brotherhood that run is RT while in AC it was RB. In AC 2 I could at least change XBox controls to make run RB, but in Brotherhood its locked. So now it use JoytoKey to force emulate keyboard so I can once again have run be RB.
