That's 90% of the game.
Though, also consider hanging out with Bea more than Gregg maybe? Bea's hangouts are a bit more grounded as Gregg is a more manic character.
I just finished the game, and normally, I skip past everyhtring in games, but didn;t for this cause I loved every minute of the dialouge, if it's not your thing, don't play, cause the writing throughout the game is pretty consistant, and it's great in my personal opinion.
Um, I doubt age has anything to do with it, it's just not your kind of game, lot of different ages play this game
I liked the Dialogue from Life is Strange, but yeah, I found it cringey too, but this dialogue from this game is fine
See that's the weird thing I find between the two games.(Life is strange & NITW) A lot of people seem to talk up Life is Strange, and yet I really can't stand it. It seemed like it was trying to reach a certain crowd and was doing a very poor job of it with the writing, and kinda trying too hard to appeal to young people imo. Every time a character in either Life is Strange game opened their mouth I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. (HELLA YEA I SMOKE TEH WEED! IMMA REBEL!")
Whereas Night in the woods felt really relatable and seemed pretty solid to me. For example some of the political talk came off as really comical to me as the young socialist group reminded me word for word of people I've met irl. Very up their own ass and silly. And considering the devs grew up in the same rustbelt area many others have, I feel it really hits home on many levels without trying very hard. Most of the feelings from the game coming very naturally.
Though at the begining of NITW I can see the bonfire party in the woods scene being very much a turn off pretty early for many with how the main character goes off singing some really badly written and edgy song while drunk. It definently has some dumb moments here and there, but I find the good far outweighs the bad in the game.
Not trying to start an arguement or anything between fans of these games, just find it kinda neat seeing what people see on both ends, I've seen a lotta people talk up both games but never saw what others did in the other.
