Nightmare mode survival for first playthrough?

Idk if I might regret it later on. I want to be immersed. deus ex OG is my favourite game of all PC. And seeing this has good things said about it. I'm ready to get immersed but hopefully not super hard or rage inducing. but also like to play high difficulty so i have to think about my approach.

Prey is a very easy game even at maximum difficulty.

Since it’s your first run, with everything checked off will be fairly challenging. Obviously with more knowledge it gets easier.

Obviously, when you have recycle charges as mines and stealth upgrades, you can kill a Nightmare in under 30 seconds.

I play on nightmare and the game starts off very hard, forcing one to think outside the box in order to survive. Running away is fine. After a while it gets easier and if one explores everywhere it actually gets easy towards the end.

For Survival Mode. Playing first time, 20+ hours in - and I'm regretting turning off Weapons Degredation on Survival Mode.
Play with all Survival Mode options ON

Only really an issue if you have zero mods into repair. Certainly made my typhoon only run interesting.

Yeah the game is not especially hard, you'll most likely be killed by Cry Engine more than you'll be killed by enemies
