The closest games you're going to find are the BioShock games. Very very similar games. In fact, sometimes it feels like Arkane wanted to make a BioShock game but because they don't own the IP for it, they made Prey instead :-).
I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of this game, is it the fact that it's somewhat horror? is it the fact that it's horror actions from a first person perspective and the fact that it being in first person is very immersive? or bits of that being with all of the essentially story elements along with the actions just being entertaining?
Like yeah, games that came before and are essentially just inspirations to this game, system shock series, bioshock series, deus ex, and a few games from the same studio dishonored are good examples.
I dis-liked dishonored however for the same reasons i couldnt get into games like thief or styx. Stealth is just not my cup of pee.
I also dont like open world games with giant set pieces all that much, way too much down time and what not. games like the outer worlds, skyrim, the witcher, fallout series, kingdom come deliverance, far cry, cyberpunk, metal gear 5 all great games in their own right but also not my cup of pee because there was so much down time walking around this world.
It why I tended to be drawn more to the souls borne sekiro series, even games that were similar to them like salt and sancutary, or maybe hades, were also good titles.
I can't think of anything that's modern though, Dead space is still my favorite linear shooter of all time, Fear is alright, Metro is boring AF imo, Maybe control since that's a metriovania. Batman series also a decent AAA game if its not the shooting part that you're looking for.
Second for Dead Space 1. Accept that it is from 2008 and some of the design elements are dated - namely it is very linear, but it has aged remarkably well. The Steam forum has info on the quick fixes you will want to get to avoid weird computer glitches. They only take about 5 minutes to install.
If you liked Prey's mystery and atmosphere, Dark Wood is excellent, and it has the added benefit of not being another FPS in a futuristic environment, unlike many of the others on this list. Dark Wood is criminally underrated.

looks like doorkickers with a horror theme. not really what i'd be interested in.
System Shock remake is coming along, it's going to be released within the next 4-6 months. SS2EE is also along the way.
Void Bastards is another you could look into. It's got a sort of early 90's feel about it with a sort of EGA like quality while there are elements of system shock in it.

Dark Wood is absolutely nothing like Doorkickers. It is a survival adventure in a gritty, twisted 80s soviet setting. Doorkickers is a tactical close quarters combat SWAT simulation. All they Share is an isometric perspective, unless you consider beating a mutant dog to death with a broken shovel to be akin to commanding a military team during a tactical intervention.
Baffled how you saw trailers or screenshots of Dark Wood and thought "ah, tactical action game!"
Alien Isolation is fine and knocks the aesthetics out of the park, but after the 10th hour it could have finished. It then slogs on for another 10 hours.

yes it really does take a lot of time but its got a good story
Reading my opening words: "looks like". That's your choice to project what you want to see from my point of view for me, i'm not going to change your mind on that, baffled or not.
The alien AI is not really that great. all you need is a tiny bit of shadow on the map and to get on the floor laying down, and the alien will walk right past you like it can't see. Beyond that obvious flaw in the AI, it's a fine game.
