This. I wished more games allowed this and didn't force you to use one or the other. Stick for movement and mouse for looking is pretty ideal.
Actually, a promising analog keyboard is already in development, the Wooting One, but in the meantime a proper optional keybind for “normal walk” would be great.
As you might be knowing, the first Thief games and System Shock 2 had three different movement speeds from a stand up position: creep, walk and run. And obviously those games was designed for keyboard control.
Yes this needs to be added then.
Only a key, is not too complicated, I think.
there's no point in binding the mouse wheel to switch weapon when you have a weapon wheel and a 1-9 shortcut system.
I actually made a script for FreePIE to implement a system like that for any game that supports simultaneous inputs from kb&m and controller. Originally I made it for Far Cry 2, cause it had a delicate stealth system based on how fast you moved (same lead designer as Chaos Theory). You might find use for it in other games. It's in one of my guides for Far Cry 2.
Dear developers, please fine-tune it.
Thank You!
