A frustrating mess of a game.

The combat is beyond terrible. It really falls apart once you take on more than one enemy. Way too much backtracking with awful enemies that just reappear. 2 hours is not enough to decide if you like a game or not. I wish i could get rid of this pos. Its really not a fun game.

You're not alone. Just try to play for short periods of time since you paid $60 for it and need at least something to compensate for it. It seems Arkane consists of grandpas who can't think of anything new and just keep returning to their "glory days of past". Spoiler alert, Arkane: it's a different century now. Hell, it's even a different millennium!

Its not though, because you get objective pointers to places you cant access yet but you dont know you can't. Thefore leading it to be a waste of time.

The combat is fine. You aren't meant to run in with your guns and just shoot everything, if that is what you are doing. You have to use your scanner thing (forgot the name) and find out their weaknesses. There are many very cleverly placed environmental things to help you take out your enemies in creative and effective ways. Once you unlock certain things as you progress you get more ways of dealing with enemies. The game even says DO NOT take on enemies directly as they will wipe you the ♥♥♥♥ out, and waste your resources such as med-kits.

Also, you don't get objective pointers to places you can't access, at least, not in the main quest. Side-quests are different, as some of them require you to progress through the game a certian amount to obtain keycards, abilities to hack or move objects etc. etc. Backtracking IS worth it, because backtracking is neccessary to the game (for example, im always backtracking to the trauma centre because i know there are free medical operators there).

Don't blame the game devs for your own incompetence.

Why do almost everyone try to play this like is COD . Also most places that you think you can't access are accessible if you're smart enough in using your GLoo gun, Recycler CHarges and THe HUntress Bow heck i've been inside many rooms i'm not supposed to be able to enter because i don't have the hacking or leverage skills.

Also Combat Focus makes any fight trivial even if there are more than 2 enemies . You just didnt think hard enough on how to make use of the abilities and equipments they gave you gg
