You'll understand when the time comes, but as a friendly tip - break them all.
The door leads to an area that isn't particularly special. Its the small area above the IT room.
Iirc there's one or two (regular) mimics there.
Anyway you'll want to go to Psychotronics first thing. I did everything else first, but that just made things a lot harder since in Psychotronics you find the Psychoscope which you will need to scan enemies (so they dont appear as ??? anymore) as well as give you some useful perks.
Phantoms: believe it or not, those are quite weak compared to most of the other Typhon you will face. Consider this a good time to learn how to deal with them. :P
1) By hacking a level 2 lock on the door by the stairwell opposite the one you use to get to your office.
2) Entering that room behind your looking glass, unlocking the door you found and smashing the glass floor. There are phantoms in the room and you can find the keycard for the lobby security office somewhere inside. The lobby security room has a shotgun and the shell fabrication plan and starts an optional mission to find some neuromods in the lobby.
Yeah I did that before I even went to the teleconferencing room lol
You can also shoot open the door to the security room with the boltcaster.
