Do No Harm
If you help a human NPC and then come back to the area later when a typhon kills said human, does it count against the 'Do No Harm' achievement?

There should be everything you should know. If you're not sure that you screw up then check in stats screen if there's "Human Killed" category. If not you're safe

You are talking about Aaron Ingram right? I believe when he died you lost your don’t harm archievement.

Next time don’t GLOO the firepipes, then he will survive.

No he wasn't killed by the fire pipes. A phantom spawned in the room and killed him.

You dont get me.

The pipes with fire do protect Aarom Ingram from Phantoms. There will no Phantom enter the room since they dont like fire. When you gloo the fires and leave the room for other mission the phantom can enter the room easily and kill Aaron.

I always use the another aisle to reach Aaron Ingram without gloo the fires so he always survive with all my runs.

What I did was stunning him and then locked him into the room that he gave me the password.
And for your main question, I have seen people complaining about not having the achievement because of aaron ingram and the phantom so I think you should load an old save game where aaron is still alive.
The achievement says 'do not kill any human' but it's more like 'save all humans'.
Mind controled human count aswell for the achievement of course you need to stun them or use the typhoon mind control ability to stun them, I didn't had to lock them in a safty place, I let them on the ground and just be carfull that the mind controller do not kill them while shooting at you because of splash damage
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

As long as you don't kill them yourself, human deaths do not count against you, such as those killed by Typhons.

Thanks for that link bro.

In case anyone was wondering, using Aaron Ingram to extract exotic material definitely voids the achievement. Pressing the button increments "people's killed" statistic too, even though you didn't shoot him personally.

Edit:
After sealing the breach upon return to the material gathering a phantom will spawn and walk into the room. It will target Aaron if he was left alive. You can still save him (2nd time) by dispatching the phantom quickly. It's substantially easier if you get the turret out of the armory and deploy it strategically in the room.

Can you knock out Ingram with a Stun Gun afterwards?

He won't be dead and i think Phantoms don't attack unconcious people..

Would that work for the achieve? Just KOing him and hiding him somewhere safe so Phantom doesn't kill him.

When I unlock the weapons room he follows me in and stays there if i do it right away. If I wait a bit he wanders off and usually gets killed later. That does not affect the achievement as I do not kill him.

I had a pretty funny Bethesda moment with this guy when I came back for the 2nd time, and the room got attacked by Etheric Phantoms. The puddle that got left after one of the phantoms died ended up in the corner of the room after the firefight, and Aaron in his infinite wisdom decided to walk into that corner, grunt a couple of times in pain and then collapsed dead on the floor.

It did not void the achievement, as you can now observe on my profile, since I recently completed the game. I can definitely concur with what has been said here previously though.

More like Crytek moment, since that's the reason it was so knackered

Unfortunately for Aaron, two Phantoms and an Etheric Phantom spawned in the room in my game. 😔
