Look around the bridge location and you'll eventually find him

Not sure where you are at, but progress storyline further and you will get some hints pointing the location. Can't be sure though, since I'm stuck in Cargo Bay B due to serious bug.

There are terminals with life signs of the crew and their location, which you are allowed to track them one at a time including the chef.

There's one small problem though: the Chef's life sign tracker is on a unique computer within Talos, but I can't remember which one it was.

Make sure you plant the turrets -inside- the yellow chevron marked area around the door. And theres plenty of turrets inside that you can discover, no need to go out in space for plans or wasting resources on it.

there's only two turrets in cargo bay b, I 100% had to fabricate one and that was cancer

You will get an e-mail on your pc in your office that will give you an hint on where he is. I discovered that e-mail realy late in the game so i can't tell you when you get it exactly.

If you dont get an email for some reason here is his location, not sure if he will be there without you gettin the email first tho.

He is at the escape pods of the command bridge

I had two survivors in my office that suddenly turned hostile after completing this quest, not sure what excatly triggered it though.

Untrue, theres 2 turrets out in the large area before Cargo bay B. The last turret is in the leftmost cargo cage you open near the doorway where you place them.
