Prey
Wait a minute... only 8 enemy types?

Very few enemy types for a FPS imo =S

Aaaand, do they have actual source for this? How did they played full game, if no review copies are sent now? Press was only granted around 4 hours of gameplay.

Seems like enough to me. Compared to Resident Evil 7 which has...3 slightly different enemies.

DOOM and Half Life 2 also only have about 8-9 main enemies.

DOOM
Imp
Possessed
Lost Souls
Pinky
Cyberdemon
Hell Knight
Cacodemon
Mancubus
Revenant

Half Life 2
Scanners
Combine Soldiers
Antlions
Manhacks
Headcrabs
Barnacles
Zombies
Gunships

Assuming there are some bosses / unique enemies, and each enemy has multiple attacks and different encounters, there's more than enough variety.

When playing the demo I did somehow have a feeling that the game would have a very limited amount of enemy types. I know it was only a demo, but if the list is correct then 8 enemy types is very meager.

No less than other fps games

Fu ck me, the amount of whinging about this game.. How about we wait and play the damn thing before we get pitchforks and burning torches, like sensible, rational people.. Oh wait, we are on steam forums :steamhappy:

There's a difference between whining and pointing a possible letdown

Say to me where on my thread I was whining

But you're right, we're on Steam forums, where people come to threads to act like douches ¬¬

The problem is, Doom is knowed for his waves of enemies, so enemy variety is not the problem.

Isn't the case here, since we haven't seen any enemy wave on Prey yet...

So the lack of variety and enemy waves can be a letdown, dunno...

Maybe so. Even though the game would have 'only' 8 enemy types I'm still going to buy it. Just stating that the more enemies the better. Especially in this game where the milieu is going to be in space that involves aliens.

Dont forget that in this game they all look the same like a black goo.

The problem is, they all look the same minus size. So it wouldnt make much difference if there were 56 variants.

Wasnt there a fire creature in the demo that wasnt on this list?
Seafort May 3, 2017 @ 7:32am
This game isn't a twitch shooter like DOOM or other fast paced fps. It's more like system shock or bioshock.
