Overall, it's a mess of terrible controls, questionable physics and AI that just randomly decides to go tank mode and ram you off the road with no consequences... but how much can you really expect from an EA console port?
Voila - whole new game. All adjustab controls set at default for the wheel. And the car I started out with an Audi drove pretty close to what the real deal did on the road. I adjusted tire pressure down from the default 50 PSI to 35 front and rear and saw a real change in handling for the better. I'm now a Shift 2 happy camper whereas before I was pretty ticked off about it.
One thing you must absolutely know before messing with tuning - especially tuning that impacts handling (which is pretty much all of them) is to know what they do and how they will impact your vehicle. Tweak one and you'll throw something else out. The more you know the better it will be - especially those really hot, hot cars you get for free.
