Shift 2 Unleashed

CD Key In Use
When I try to connect to autolog using my previous EA Account info,
I get the message;
'CD Key used when the game was installed. This code is not valid
and cannot be used to activate the online features of this title.'

Well how am I supposed to log in then?
This is my first time playing Shift 2 and my first time using Autolog.

I had a problem like this with Shift 1. When I tried to log in online the game told me that the CD-Key is already used.
I wrote a mail to the ea-customer suport with the description and a screenshot of the CD-Key report. They gave me a new Code for Shift and NfS Most Wanted. I just had to reinstall and put the new key in the windows registry. I`m playing the game with Origin but it shouldn't be different because it`s still the EA-Support. Good luck!

Thanks.. So far i've only written to Steam Support,
but I'll probably write to EA too soon.

This also happened to me, but luckily I found a fix myself. First, you have to go to the game's folder(I think it's around Local Disk: C/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Need For Speed Shift 2) and then once you're there, double click the "activation.exe". Once you're prompted to the Activation Manager, click "De-authorize this license". After that, open the "activation.exe." again and it will say something on the bottom of the Activation Manager like "Enter a key for this product" or something like that, you type in the CD Key that you got for your Shift 2 Unleashed here on Steam and you're finally set. Just launch the game and sign in to Autolog with your preferred EA/Origin Account and you're good to go!

Or you type in a code and then kill the activation process with the task manager. Yeah right you can just kill it and it will install. However...I reinstalled it today and I used my ancient code and I didn't need to kill anything it installed after refusing to do so for years.

If the activation limit is over, download the archive, unpack it to the game folder, replace the files. Play. All functions and online work! https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiDr7GknTMeZ0CIizjNn395ntl-T?e=9GSL5E
