Framerate fix?
Hi @ all, I bought this Game on Sale, everything runs and so on. My problem is, I just get 25-35fps while racing, anyone have a fix for this? Have first tried ultra. then high, but framerate is still the same.. vSync is off, of course. I have an i3 4130 + R9 270 and play at 2560x1080.. I mean BF4 runs smooth @ 60 fps, and this not? Why?

Same here, but I'm pretty sure it's just because the game is so badly optimized. It has horrific input lag too - nearly half a second. I'm running a 4770K@5.0GHz and a GTX 780.

It's sad, really.

I've found that the game looks pretty good, even on medium settings, the differences are subtle, and only apparent on "track detail". Also shadows are not only resource hogs they are downright ugly... the game already is dark from cockpit view, removing the blocky ugly shadows gave me enough a boost to hit sweet spot on medium settings (high textures, 16x ilter, high anti aliasing) and made it very much more pleasing to the eye...

turn your resolution down idiot.. farout with a budget system like that im amazed u can run games at all

First of all, I can't turn the Resolution down, because if I choose 1920x1080 (or anything different than 2560 x 1080), I get Black Borders. Second, I can run any Game, except this ofcourse, at ultra with at least 40 fps. Even Metro 2033.

Thanks to the others for the responses. I had already turned down some options, but I havent noticed anything changing in case of fps.
Has anybody else the Bug, that when you turn reflections on high the Game changes it after restart to '_LOW_' ?
But I'll also try to figure out what the problems is. I was also thinking if it's an AMD Problem since the Game seems very nVidia-Optimzed for me, but you Guys seem to have Problems, too..

From other threads I have read "_LOW_" still gives you high reflections.
I have also read that the game has some optimizations on Origin that are not in the STEAM version. I contacted EA and had the game activated on Origin and it does seem to run better although the only real problem I ever had on STEAM was an occasional crash. I can drive with my G27 on 900 degrees on the Origin version but does not handle well @ 900 degrees on the STEAM version.
I run everything maxed out with no FPS issues (vsync on stays @ 60) but I am only running 1920x1080 on an I7 2600k and a Nvidia GTX770.

It's not game's fault, it's yours, just lower the resolution.

so you are really tring to tell us a DUAL core cpu (i3 4130) pushes data fast enough @ 2560x1080 resoultion to gpu and vice versa to maintain 60 fps in BF4 LMFAO... what all extra low settings? you are not too bright. that cpu would be a massive bottle neck

edit: and YES im aware the cpu doesn't render graphic's but it does a butt load inbetween / feeding info to the gpu. i seriously can not believe what you are saying.

9 times out of 10 it can be as simple as the fool siting in front of the screen. but it would be safe to say you just need to LOWER your resolution and just stop thinking you know what you are talking about.
