you can make custom games, dunno about your other questions.
I only play with steam friends nfs shift 2, and works very well

i heard about bad lag and cars that jump ,disconnections ect....is it true?

never noticed it, was playing with three friends over hours today. ( with Ai )
Only the car sounds are soemtimes bugged

Fired up my Origin version and there were no online races. Are the Steam version multiplayer and the Origin one separated?

no saperated ..its same online but steam, users see on their screen origins users laggy and the opposite...so u must have same version for not lagging

there is a post about how to fix that bug, I did it but ofcouse there is no one online to test it so i personally dont kno if it works
